DEPOSITS:
A $50 deposit is required to hold dates and serve as a retainer for time overages. We understand that things happen. However, we must be compensated for staying past event time if it is due to the tardiness of our customers and guests. If there are no overages, the deposit will be refunded within 24-72 hours of the event.
If you cancel the party completely before your final payment is made, the deposit is non-refundable. (We may have lost an opportunity holding your slot.) If your invoice is unpaid by the due date, you also risk losing your slot. We typically provide a courtesy notice in the event that another customer is interested in your slot before you make payment.
PAYMENT:
Payment is usually collected through an online invoice, but we do have other options. All payments are made in advance; due date is typically two weeks before the event, unless you have a large group or we agree to short notice. You will be notified of your due date when your deposit is set up.
Payment may be collected from the host/ess or we can provide an option for individual guests to pay online.
CUSTOMIZATION & PREPARATION:
If you would like to have your project customized, we need sufficient time to create your sample and get your feedback. Customization does not begin until a deposit is made. It is important that we receive your feedback and payment by the date(s) requested to give us sufficient preparation time.
We take time to prepare materials for your event in advance for the most successful outcome. To ensure that we do not incur any unexpected loss, materials are not purchased or prepared until your payment is made in full.
CANCELLATION & REFUNDS:
Cancellations for private parties should be done as soon as possible and no less than 48 hours in advance. No refunds, but a credit will be issued and can be redeemed within 3 months, based on availability. Individuals not in attendance for a party that is held forfeit payment altogether.
Cancellations for public parties may occur if minimum at venue is not met or extreme uncontrollable circumstances occur. Refunds will be provided ONLY if event is cancelled by the venue/P & Z. No refund will be provided if you can't attend.
ATTENDANCE:
I have read and understand the cancellation policy for this event. If I have booked a private party, I agree to provide a safe and clean environment for Preference Evans and N'Zinga Boyce to conduct business, including carefully selecting my guests. If I am attending a public event, I agree to act responsibly and not cause disruption. For any event, I agree to bring good energy and be prepared for a great time!
FOOD & DRINKS:
I am aware that food and drinks will be purchased on site at PUBLIC venues who sell those items. Hosts and participants may bring food and drinks to their PUBLIC events ONLY IF none is available for purchase and to PRIVATE events at any time. Preference & N'Zinga do not provide food and drinks unless stated. FUNDRAISER events vary based on the individual case. When alcohol is served, participants must provide proper ID. Please arrive to the venue early to order and get settled before event begins.
ARRIVAL & SETUP:
If I am a guest, I understand that I should arrive at least 10 minutes early to have the best experience. If I am running late, I understand that it is my responsibility to get caught up should Preference & N'Zinga be preoccupied. If I am a host(ess), I will have the space ready for set up at least one hour (unless otherwise agreed upon) before my event.

- Note: The table covers with provide are a thin plastic and can be used for tables, and floors if necessary. If you need extra protection, please alert us well in advance or be prepared to provide the necessary covering. There may be an upcharge in cases where additional protection is requested.
